The President of Botswana, Mokgweetsi Masisi, is in Mozambique since Thursday where he is enjoying his vacation with his wife Neo Masisi and his close relatives.

Masisi is staying at the “White Pearl Resort” at Ponta Mamoli, Maputo Province, Southern Mozambique, for a one-week vacation.

White Pearl Resort chosen by the President of Botswana is a 5 star beach resort that has won international awards from Conde Nasté and Traveler magazines as one of Africa’s top 10 boutique beach hotels. The resort is 25 kilometers from the border with South Africa and faces the Indian Ocean.

To get to the White Pearl could be by helicopter from Maputo International Airport, in the Mozambican capital, on a daily charter flight, which takes approximately 20 minutes, while by car through the largest suspension bridge in Africa, the Maputo-KaTembe Bridge, is about 1h30.

From 3 to 8 January, the resort had been visited by the famous British model Naomi Campbell. Marveling with the place, she posted a photo on the social media Instagram saying in one of the comments that the beach at the foot of the resort had a divine air or is a godsend.

It is owned by Mozambican investor, Florival Luís Mucave. He is recognized in the country being one of the few Mozambicans who decided to invest in sun and beach tourism and cuisine aimed to rich and famous people.

This is the second presidential visit for holidays in less than a month. In December, Angolan President João Lourenço was also in one of the tourist resorts in the south of the country.
